U.S. House of Representatives, 1995-2009Born November 30, 1946, in Salinas, California, Cubin graduated from Natrona County High School in Casper in 1965. Four years later, she graduated from Creighton University with a degree in chemistry. She served six years in the Wyoming House of Representatives and two years in the Wyoming State Senate prior to running for Wyoming’s sole seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in 1994. As Wyoming's first female congresswoman, she was subsequently reelected, serving seven terms in the U.S. House. In 2009, she retired from the House of Representatives and was succeeded by Cynthia Lummis.
