Wyoming Supreme Court 1952-1953
Henry P. Ilsley was born in Markesan,Wisconsin on December 7, 1884. After graduating from the University of South Dakota Law School in 1906, he practiced law in Belle Fourche until June 1910 when he moved to Sundance, Wyoming. He was appointed a district court judge in 1920 and served in that capacity for 31 years. On January 7, 1952, Governor Frank A. Barrett appointed him Justice of the Supreme Court to fill the vacancy of Justice Ralph Kimball. Ilsley died in office on February 18, 1953.
