Territorial Delegate to Congress 1871-1873
William Theopilus Jones was born in Corydon, Indiana on February 20, 1842. He practiced law in Corydon and was a Civil War veteran. In April 1869, President Grant appointed him associate justice on the Wyoming Supreme Court. He resigned on February 8, 1871 and served as a Congressional delegate from March 1871 to March 1873. Failing to be re-elected in 1872, Jones returned to Corydon, where he died on October 9, 1882.
