Charles B. Morgan

State Treasurer 1955-1959

Charles B. Morgan was raised in Evanston. After graduating from high school, he worked as a Union Pacific Railroad employee, deputy county clerk, county assessor, aid to Senator C.D. Clark, and an assistant state examiner. In 1913, he was appointed deputy state treasurer, a position he would hold for 41 years. He was elected State Treasurer in 1954 and served one term. Morgan died in Cheyenne on June 6, 1965.
