William P. Gannett

William Payne Gannett was born on November 25, 1853 in Bath, Maine. He came to Cheyenne in 1876 and worked in the furniture business with F.E. Warren. In time he became a managing partner in the Warren Mercantile Company. He served as deputy Territorial Treasurer from 1879 to 1885 and was Territorial Treasurer from 1885 to 1888. He died in Denver on March 27, 1927.
