Superintendent of Public Instruction 1947-1955
A resident of Sheridan, received her BA degree from Colorado State College. After completing her graduate work at Columbia Teachers' College and at the University of Chicago, she served as supervisor of elementary and special education in the Wyoming State Department of Education. She was elected to the office of State Superintendent of Public Instruction in 1946. Prior to that she had served eighteen years as elementary education supervisor in the Sheridan public schools, seven summers as a teacher in the Sheridan branch of the University of Wyoming, and two summers on the university faculty at Laramie.
Miss Stolt was born in Odebolt, Iowa, and she died at the age 85, Long Beach, California , April 1, 1972.[1]
